Unfortunately, the side-effects of many illnesses are anger and aggression. This is also known as challenging behaviour. In order for your staff to protect themselves and those they care for, it is vital they know how to recognise and diffuse situations involving challenging behaviour. It is your responsibility as an employer to keep your staff safe, so training them on how to diffuse a situation, before having to physically defend themselves, is certainly a step in the right direction. This Challenging Behaviour training course will teach you what challenging behaviour is, different types of challenging behaviour, some of the causes of challenging behaviour, the impacts and results of challenging behaviour and how to deal with the outcomes of challenging behaviour.
